Graphics
Interpoker's gameplay is very fast. The graphics and color scheme are somewhat drab but the software is functional and reliable. The action countdown requires the player to act quickly on his/her hand. The lobby is cluttered as three different currencies are displayed for each limit of each game.
Average pot, number of hands per hour, and view flop percentage are all displayed. Current news and information is displayed via a "wall street" ticker at the bottom of the lobby. Players have the option of disabling the voice feature.
InterPoker offers sound effects that announce the current action. So, you'll hear the InterPoker dealer say, "Dealing Cards" on a new hand. The dealer will also announce, "Dealing flop", "Dealing turn", and "Dealing river". This COULD be helpful if you were multi-tabling or working on other things while playing, but this feature is really NOT helpful at all, because that window needs to be active and highlighted for the announcements to work.
The InterPoker interface allows for player note-taking. You have to click a button on the bottom left corner of the interface, and then select the player from a drop down menu before taking your notes, or more easily doubl-click your opponent.
InterPoker offers a good hand history feature that can be reviewed online or requested via email. And you may view your poker stat's during the session. InterPoker does not offer a friend finder feature.
Betting is pretty straight-forward. The pot and each bet displays the amount under the graphical stack of chips, so it's easy to figure out correct bet sizes, etc.
Playability
InterPoker grew to a significant number of real money players. Simultaneously connected players now exceed 3500 during peak hours, which is enough to create some serious competition even at higher levels. Approximately 70% of the players reside in Texas Hold’em tables
Game Variety
A mediocre game variety is offered here. Texas Hold’em is played in No Limit, Pot Limit and Fixed Limit. Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo is offered as well in Pot and Fixed Limits. 7 Card Stud is Fixed Limit only. If you are looking for Texas Hold’em heads-ups, you will be happy to know that there are plenty of tables supporting this. A big plus is the big stake tables supported here, ranging up to $150/$300 Fixed Limit, or $25/$50 in No Limit
Payment Options
Deposits: Credit Card, NETeller, FirePay, EPC, certified check, regular check, wire transfer, money order, TeleBuy and Basic 900pay.
Withdrawn: Credit Card, NETeller, FirePay, Citadel, check, EPC and wire transfer.
Player Level
There are a number of players who migrate over to the poker room from the parent casino company. These are players who like to gamble, and as a result, full low and middle limit tables usually have view flop percentages in the 40's and 50's. Shorthanded tables typically are in the 60's.
Overall Rating
Managed by Intercasino, the second largest casino in the world, Interpoker originally established a player base in their poker room from gamblers in the casino. With the relationship they now have with some professional poker players, along with aggressive marketing, their traffic has increased dramatically over the last couple of years
InterPoker is unknown to most poker players, despite its release in 2001. Casino players may already recognize the brand through InterCasino. It’s better than the average room, but the dull visual interface brings down the experience quite a bit. However in terms of stability and functionality the software does a good job. The room has been expanding heavily since 2005 and sees a lot of traffic in Texas Hold’em games. The variety is a bit low and does not include turbo mode.
Beginners will find very loose action at the lower limit tables, with plenty of traffic at all times of the day. They may also enjoy the voice commands of the dealer at the table. Intermediate players who appreciate fast play will like that the time limit for acting on your hand is only a few seconds. Tournament traffic continues to increase as a result of the money added tournaments that Interpoker hosts. |
