The Paradise Poker software is functional and designed with a nice island theme. The table functions are easy to learn and well oriented. The software offers great functionality, which makes it easy to choose your exact preferences when it comes to limits, table size, currency and game.
Cash games, multi-table tournaments and sit-and-go tournaments are all presented under different tabs, and all columns can be sorted with a click of the mouse
Paradise Poker has made major changes in their strategy in the last several years, joining forces with Sportingbet, Plc. and moving from their privately developed software and network to the International Poker Network and Boss Media's software.
Boss Media - a Swedish Internet gambling software and service provider for several leading online poker rooms - has developed very stable software that features multi-currency play and deposits, and even though it's a little on the slow side, good functionality and playability.
The software presents the usual functions available on most software as well as some additional features. It is updated regularly to ensure stability and security, without significant downtime.
Playability
Paradise Poker was founded in 1999. It has since then pointed the traffic upwards thanks to many of their unique promotions such as the Million Dollar Freeroll. Approximately 9,000 connected ring games and tournament players makes this one of the biggest rooms on the internet. Most of the action is in the Texas Hold'em rooms, but despite this, you will be able to play games at most stakes in any of the other game modes (Omaha, 7 Card Stud, etcetera). enjoy the popular heads-up rooms in particular
Game Variety
Game variety at Paradise Poker is good. Over the years, the site responded to player feedback and now offers Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud Hi and Five-Card Draw. The games are available in Limit, Pot-Limit and No-Limit versions. Most traffic is concentrated on Hold'em games but there are a decent amount of players at other games as well, at least during peak hours. There are many loose short-handed tables running. Limits vary from 5¢/10¢ to $500/$1,000 at the Limit Hold'em ultra high-stakes tables
Payment Options
Deposit Options: VISA, MasterCard, NETeller, FirePay, wire transfer, bank draft.
Withdrawal Options: VISA, NETeller, FirePay and check.
Player Level
The tables at Paradise Poker are not very beginner-friendly. The micro tables are an exception, but making good money at such levels is consuming too much time. The tables at $0.5/$1 and up are usually very tight and only a few players see the flop more than 35 % of the times. At low buy-in tournaments, this number is usually a bit higher, even at Paradise Poker
Overall Rating
Paradise Poker is the closest you can get to a tropical gambling paradise, without lifting your rear off your seat. It is widely considered as one of the best poker rooms in the world and belongs to one of the largest ones, too. Excellent software with only a couple of misses, large tournament traffic and a large number of game modes indicates that this is a very special poker room. Paradise houses a lot of talented players, but in return you have plenty of competition in low level games as well as the high stakes
